What would happen if the Grim Reaper were working at your office? Do you think it would be the kind of colleague you would get along with?
That’s the film that our BFI Film Academy South East Scotland participants were shooting the last weekend at Waverly Court. ‘Kill Me Now’ tells the story of Death – physical entity- dealing with its routine problems at the office in a comedy-like film (scythe included).
The youngsters could barely hold their laugher on the film set, but showed great fellowship and teamwork, working with film tutors Graham Fitzpatrick, Sean Young and Laura McBride.
The shoot provided me with great experience both in front and behind camera. It was a shoot filled with both stress and laughs but in the end I think we pulled of an amazing film! Maximilian Marshall
While in Waverly Court, another team of participants were shooting the short horror film ‘The Shadowman’ in Gorebridge with film tutors Neil Rolland, Steven Cook and Trainee Tutor Bronwyn O’Neill.
The youngsters wrapped principal photography on the film and all of them worked hard to create the scary atmosphere needed for the story.
Last but not least, here we have a video in which participant Liam Chisholme describes his workmates’ short film ‘Kill Me Now’ and what the BFI Film Academy means for him:
